The sudden resignation of the Swanley Town Clerk, Steve Nash, as disclosed by the Labour Party has generated a great deal of rumour and speculation about the reasons for his leaving.
His dispute with the Conservative leadership group focused on what was considered to be the improper conduct and control by a small group of councillors who were making decisions, without proper public scrutiny.
