There are some outstanding films to watch on TV this weekend. The films are excellent entertainment and tremendously informative. They include:

The film ‘Selma‘ chronicling the Martin Luther King journey on American civil rights.

‘I am not your negro’ through the words of James Baldwin, this film touches on the lives and assassinations of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and Medgar Evers.

2/4. David Olusoga looks at slavery and remembers black sailors who fought for Britain.

The Black Panthers – Storyville Film about the Black Panther party, its culture and political awakening for black people.

Just Mercy, Queen & Slim, and Da 5 Bloods are all excellent films that you can stream on the Internet as well. Knowledge is power and film can inform and entertain.
