Here Labour’s Jackie Griffiths takes up an important health and safety issue in a road in White Oak. She has approached the authorities about problems with the external electric and gas boxes on the outside of the maisonettes and flats.

Jackie writes,

There were at least 10 boxes where locks were broken and the doors were hanging open. Inside you could see live cables which could easily be accessed. This could cause a fatality to those who do not understand the potential danger here.

Although this is caused by vandalism there is still a duty of care on behalf of West Kent Housing Association and Sevenoaks District Council to make these boxes safe.”

If elected Jackie will continue to stand up for local residents and work hard to mend our broken community.
