On Thursday 2nd March there is a council by-election in Swanley White Oak ward.

If you live in the ward and aren’t on the electoral register, you won’t be able to have a say in who runs our local council services.

It’s easy to register to vote and useful for other things like applying for credit cards or bank accounts. Just go to: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote and complete the form online.

Alternatively you can request a paper form by calling Sevenoaks Council on 01732 227000. The deadline is 14th February.

If you are likely to be away, working, in hospital or can’t vote in person for any other reason on election day, you can apply for a postal vote by calling the council as above.

At the last by-election the winning candidate won by ONE vote – so every vote really does count, including yours!
