This week the Tories set out their vision for Brexit – a bargain basement Britain, based on low pay and deregulation, with tax breaks for the lucky few and workers’ rights curtailed.
The Tories have given handouts to the wealthiest and cut taxes for big business – while refusing to provide vital funds for the NHS, cutting social care and failing to invest for the long term. Tory failure on the NHS and social care symbolises their wider failure to deliver for the majority in our society.
That’s why on Saturday we will be campaigning to protect our NHS and for a better economic alternative.
Join us as part of our ‘Care for the NHS’ campaign day this Saturday, calling on the Tories to give the NHS and social care the funding they need:
- What: By Election campaign with NHS leaflets
- When: Saturday 21 January at 10:30
- Where: The Corner House, London Road, Swanley BR8 7QD
Speaking to voters, one to one, is our strongest tool for changing minds and winning trust. My sincere thanks to the thousands of you who do this week in, week out – but if you’ve never done this before, don’t worry – there will be plenty of experienced people on hand to partner up with.
The Tories are under real pressure over their under-funding and under-staffing of health and social care. I hope, if at all possible, you’ll join us this Saturday to help fight for the NHS to receive the funding it needs.
Yours,
