Today we were out on the election campaign trail in White Oak Ward. One of the issues we were talking to residents about as the public Town Meeting on 7th October at the Alexandra Suite, St Mary’s Road.
Labour supporters have called for the meeting to get a binding policy to Save Our Rec – and ensure there is no building on Swanley Recreation Ground. You can read more here: Save Our Rec!
We were delighted to talk to longstanding Labour supporters but also welcome back those who had voted Labour in the past but not so recently; to talk to those undecided about how to vote and indeed to have a pleasant disagreement with those not voting Labour. We welcomed all your comments and ideas, whoever you are voting for.
We’ll be out in a different part of Swanley every day from now until 13th October – but you can be assured that, unlike some other parties, we won’t stop then!
Sorry we lost but we can help other ways and do what we can for the comunity
