It’s Kevin Flack reporting again here.
Well I haven’t met as many stars as Theo has, but I got a chance to listen to an excellent speech on Labour’s animal welfare proposals.
Whilst the media has focused on Labour’s leadership election over the summer, Shadow Secretary of State for the Environment, Rachael Maskell MP (pictured speaking at the Labour Animal Welfare Society meeting) has been working on a progressive policy for animal welfare, including an end to puppy farming, cancelling the costly and ineffective badger cull, banning wild animals in circuses and an end to the use of snares which can leave both wildlife and pets with a slow, lingering death.
The Labour Party would like you views on its proposals, and you can get a copy of the document by emailing animalslabour@aol.com
