The Struggle for Feminism. Feminist waving red flag

Sad passing of Jenny Shea

It is with sadness that the Swanley Branch of the Labour Party records the sad passing of Jenny Shea.

Jenny was born in Durham and was an active labour member from an early age. I first met Jenny and her husband in the early 60s when they were living in Bexleyheath and were members of a joint local government committee covering Bexley, Woolwich and Dartford. After the loss of her husband she moved to Swanley to be close to her daughter and remained an active member of the Swanley Branch.

Our thoughts are with Jenny’s daughter and her family. Swanley & District Labour Party & Sevenoaks Constituency Labour Party wants to show its appreciation of Jenny’s life term service to the Labour Party & her struggle to achieve a just and fair society. We send our condolences to all those who loved her dearly.

A service of remembrance is to be held at Christchurh on the 15th September at 12.30
